So it's that time of year again to get your home ready for spring. So let the fresh air in and declutter from winter. With these 6 Easy Tips your home will be ready in no time. Giving you some peace of mind and calmness. ENJOY!
Switch To Lighter Bedding
As the temperatures start to rise ditch the flannel sheets, and thick blankets. Go for light cotton sheets, and a light comforter. You can always kick the comforter off if it gets to warm. This way in the day your bed looks beautiful, but it's light and airy at night.
Clean out your closet
I know this is one of those thing's that people don't like doing, but it will bring you peace if you do it. Put your bulky winter sweaters and coats away into airtight totes or bins. Then store them in the garage or another closet till winter strikes again. This is a great time to also think about what you really wear and what you don’t. Be honest! If you haven’t worn something in months, donate it!
Bring Some Fresh Flowers In
Nothing screams spring more then fresh flowers in a vase. Go to your local Farmers Market or Garden center and pick your favorite flowers out. Even better get some out of your own garden and use them in your home. Fresh Flowers brighten up anyone's home!
Declutter Any Counters
If you have mail go through it. Toss out what you don't need and store the rest away. Put it in a good filling cabinet. Hang up things like aprons and dish towels on pegs. Introduce baskets to help unclutter and keep things airy. This will bring you much peace as you walk through your home.
Bring Pastels Into Your Decore
This season is all about pastels. Bring Pops of pastels into your home. Try things like adding teal, orange, pink, or Lavender throw pillows. You could also add these colors by adding vases, pictures, flowers, or throw blankets. Pastels will make any home feel like spring.
Bring In The Scent of Spring
Bring the scent of spring inside. Light a soy candle like Lilac, Rose, Flowing Waters, or Lavender. Everyone who walks in your home will enjoy the freshness of spring. It will give you a sense of peace and enjoyment.
I hope these tips will help you get ready for spring.

So soon it will be spring and the scent of Lilac will fill the air.....
I remember as a little girl waiting and watching for our Lilac bush to bloom each year. It was my mothers favorite flower. We loved to collect them off the bush and place them in a vase for her. That way when she came home from work, there would be a fresh vase full of them. It would always make her smile.... Smelling that pure sweet smell of Lilac. It was a small way to say we loved her and appreciated all she did.
Lilac is truly the perfect spring scent to fill your home with. There are many ways you can display these sweet flowers. Below is some of my favorite ways to use Lilac flowers. It will bring pure joy and freshness to the air you breathe.
